I miss this. So much has changed, yet so much is the same.
A few things:
Love actually is all around. Perhaps Richard Curtis had it all correct.
Running away seems far too easy, don’t give up, don’t give in. |

I submitted my first college paper today, and I think I may keep Dickinson’s 7 layer chocolate bars in mind when deciding a college. I’m pretty sure Victoria and I will leave ballet camp fat from those |

Five weeks went far too quickly. But somehow I know I’ll be returning here one day. Ashley Bouder knows my name, and I survived 5 ballet classes yesterday. Enough said. Much more improvement needs to be made, and it’s tough leaving some of these kids. It’s quite possibly been my favorite year here; maybe that’s what colored leotards do for you. Much more later, pictures, etc. It’s the fifth week and I’m still sore. |

What is it? A free, short (23ish mins!!) ballet where we wear silly (embarrassing in my case) costumes and dance to Saint-Saens (Carnival of the Animals).
When/Where?
Saturday, June 10th
2:00pm—Miller Concert Hall, or actually the amphitheatre behind
7:00pm—Riggs Park in Haysville
Sunday, June 11th
2:00pm—Sedgwick County Zoo |

It’s spring time, and the bitter sweet month is ending shortly. My bitter sweet month has already ended. Perhaps not quite. No, I take that back, I’m not sure I’ll be ending anytime too soon.
I’ve been incredibly inspired today, but the simplest of things. First hour a bookmark was placed in my purse. . .
Don’t count the days. . . Make the days count.
As my eyes filled with tears.
Really Big Joke tomorrow. That time of year again, when things are turing green. Though I picture white. Rubber pointe shoes and improv. Come if you’re incredibly bored.
I do believe I have been changed for the better. |

It’s spring time in my book, I don’t wait for an official date. Oh happy spring? My favorite season, who wouldn’t have guessed? Running though sprinklers at lunch brought my mood back to a spring level. I’ve decided I’m never satisfied with anything. Realizing this is some what frightening. Future plans being made, rejections, disappointments, this summer won’t be spent where I’d ended last summer hoping to, though I’m excited. Everything happens for a reason. Sometimes it’s all about what kind of attitude you wake up with that morning. |

I was reminded tonight why I fell in love with figure skating eight years ago.
I think I have a new Olympic dream. (Too bad the beginning dances are so boring. Can I skip to the hawt dresses?)
Tomorrow a lovely lady up in Baltimore turns 20! Send her your love! |

It’s not Stars or the Thespian banquet yet (not even last NOB show) and I’ve already cried my eyes out. Maybe I don’t like change, maybe I can’t handle it. Tonight was a disaster in so many ways, but someday I’ll look back and laugh, and now I’ll a good “most embarrassing moment” story. |

Nights of Broadway begins tomorrow kiddos, so leave your casas and homework and come watch the amazingly talented kids that are at your school! There’s some incredible singing, and dancing in slutty dresses. Ah! We watched the senior video after rehearsal tonight and tears streamed down my face before it began. I can’t handle the rest of this year. I cry more than the seniors. I think the thought of being left behind is worse than leaving. |

Shall I wear black tomorrow, or red? I’ll opt for maroon and hand out elementary school style Valentines. |

This week has been filled with unusual days where I can arise easily in the morning. Even at five. I’ve never swayed anywhere near the morning-type-of-person side (I believe the Hutton family has quite a lot of night-owl blood in them), but in a way it was quite nice. And it creates good overall days too. This morning was not such, but that’s beside the point. This year has begun fairly lovely. February shall be interesting. February has been interesting. Different in a way, yet too similar in others. Oh February accept some change, I’m in the mood for it. Maybe in too much of the mood? As for January? I think I’ve decided it’s the lover of April. Reminding me that spring is around the corner! Oh how months and seasons are too easy to over analyze.
Silly English Orals have kept me on pins and needles all week. I knew I’d end up last. Sitting there shaking all period is the only thing that has kept this week from being fantastic.
For some ridiculous reason before Homecoming on Saturday I went on a jaunt to Kansas City for the SAB audition. Unfortunately it was again the time of year to confirm the truth of my username. But something there that should have depressed me inspired me to a great deal. Right as I had realized I forgot my birth certificate (we forgot to pay too, but that’s another story) the most beautiful girl walks by me and smiles. Exactly who I wanted to see at my SAB audition. Or NOT. She was a tad bit taller than me, and had the skinniest longest legs, most beautiful feet, utterly gorgeous in everyway shape and form. The epitome of a student from SAB. Hand crafted to be a ballet dancer by God. As I stretch in the hallways she came up incredibly friendly, and we began to chat. She was on scholarship the past two summers at SAB. We shared summer program stories and talked about the east coast gurlies we both knew. She was one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. She deserves every ounce of her beauty and I’m so happy she has been so blessed. Truly inspirational.
All this audition business has brought be back to a year ago’s “God I hope I get it, I hope I get it!” And to think I still haven’t seen A Chorus Line.
Opening night of Nights of Broadway is in a week. Frightening since I don’t know my dances. Oh well. . . the singers sound good!
Got to love wondering the halls with a fantastic lady sent on the mission to hang up NOB posters when really you just bother spoon’s sixth hour and tape his door shut! We’re an awesome gang. . .and we’re not finished. . . .beware of la kiesta and me!
I miss summer nights, if it’s going to be winter much longer can it please snow?
Have a fabulous weekend all! |

I’ve never died during “ballet boot camp,” I’ve never died during “commando ballet class,” but man I nearly did today. Washington Ballet auditions are hard core. They know what they want, and they just know how to eliminate. Was I confused and went to the company audition? Hah, I wish that was the case. |
